The book titled “Practical Handbook of OCT Angiography” deals with revolutionary technique of non-invasive, dyeless OCT angiography imaging. This book offers a step-by-step guideline for interpreting the new images and data acquired by OCT angiography. This new diagnostic tool replaces traditional fluorescein angiography. The book is divided into 14 chapters. Initially, first 3 chapters mainly cover basic concepts such as principles, interpretation, quantification of vascular layers, recent advances, the future of OCT, and diagnosis of vascular related practical problems and artifacts of optical coherence tomography angiography. The book has also made an attempt that how this new technology is used to study inner and outer retina disorders, both qualitatively and quantitatively, and to classify choroidal neovascularisation (CNV) in a non-invasive manner, highlighting morphology, flow and depth. Chapter 4 discusses about optical coherence tomography angiography technique, which is used in studying normal retina and its vascular structure. Likewise, this book covers wide range of OCT applications such as it is used in examining diabetic retinopathy, vascular occlusions, analyzing Type 1, Type 2 and Type 4 (Mixed) choroidal neovascularization conditions along with Type 3 neovascularization features, subretinal fibrosis features, choroidal neovascularization in diseases other than age-related macular degeneration. Apart from these, new technical and clinical information on the study of glaucoma is presented here. Final chapters describes about evolution in time of flows after treatment, optic nerve and glaucoma and comparison between fluorescein angiography with optical coherence tomography angiography.
